Meet the Doctor
Dr. Ruth Gomes has been practicing dentistry for more than 15 years. She received her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. She and also holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and a specialization degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Gomes is a member of several prominent associations such as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), International Association for Orthodontics, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
As a life-long learner, in the field of dentistry, Dr. Gomes continues to undergo specialized training to provide VivaSmiles patients with the latest techniques which can legitimately make a claim to be pain free, with proven, dramatic results. Her main areas of advanced training center on: implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and TMJ treatment.
As part of this continuing education, Dr. Gomes is currently completing her training in Advanced Cosmetic and Neuromuscular Dentistry at the world renowned Las Vegas Global Institute and is expected to soon receive the coveted LVI Master degree. She is also completing a two-year executive program at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry on "Building the Ideal Practice" which will further benefit VivaSmiles patients.
Dr. Gomes performs a higher standard of dentistry. Think of a musician -- someone who plays in a church or community band, compared to someone who plays in an orchestra. As the musician becomes more proficient, she requires a better instrument. A dentist such as Dr. Gomes is no different.
